Editorial design is my core area of expertise, where I combine typography, compelling layouts, and visual storytelling to create publications that engage readers and enhance narrative. My editorial practice spans journal design, book design, and illustration-driven projects that prioritize both aesthetics and readability.
Book Design
I specialize in complete book design from concept through production, including cover design, interior typography, page layouts, and print specifications. Each project is approached with attention to visual hierarchy, readability, and narrative enhancement, ensuring that design serves the story.
Original illustration and visual storytelling are a massive part of my editorial work. I integrate custom illustrations throughout projects to create unique visual identities.
Whether collaborating with publishing houses or developing personal creative projects, my approach combines technical expertise in layout and typography with a deep understanding of how design can transform the reading experience.
PERIODICALS
I have extensive experience designing periodical publications such as magazines, newsletters, journals, almanacs, and more. I develop page layouts, reusable templates, and modular grid systems that provide structural consistency. I can create distinctive visual identities for each publication combining various article types and content structures. This ensures each issue reads as part of a series while maintaining a unique look from publication to publication. I also manage online editions, adapting print designs for digital platforms. A solid knowledge of typography fundamentals, font history and styles, as well as skills in text formatting and paragraph styling help me to ensure readability and visual hierarchy across all publications. My most notable projects in this area include Lesotechnic newsletter and The Wheel journal. Additional periodicals experience includes Arts Spectrum, a student collaborative magazine project with the Graphic Design department at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts; the Brain Sciences Journal; and other publications.
